Join our friendly, hands-on gardening club and learn how to grow, care for and enjoy your garden with expert guidance from a local horticulturalist.

This isn’t a sit-and-chat club — you’ll take part in practical tasks, learn by doing, and leave with real confidence to grow your own.

About the Club

Workshops

The Let’s Grow Preston Gardening Club is run by a local charity with one simple aim: to help people reconnect with nature and learn sustainable gardening skills.

Each session includes:
  • A 45-minute talk from a qualified, local horticulturalist

  • A one-hour practical gardening activity

  • Handouts, demonstrations, and local supplier advice

You don’t need any experience — just curiosity and a willingness to give things a go.

Our Saturday morning workshops cover:

  • Seed starting and propagation

  • Garden planning and lawn care

  • Wildlife-friendly gardening

  • Composting and soil care
